http://www.burdafashion.c.... You're going to need to measure yourself for a top or a bottom pattern. The size charts and measurement charts show you how to do the sizing. Tops are best selected by bust size-since the patterns are usually sized for B-cup, a smaller or larger cup will mean an adjustment at the bustline (bust dart). Bottoms are selected by your waist size (unless your hip size is a consideration, then choose size based on hip circumference and adjust the waist).
I would not cut out the pattern. Since Burda patterns tend to be multi-sized, that aspect is useful if your measurements vary across sizes (say size 40 bust and size 44 waist). Better yet, get the Burda tissue grid paper or the Burda dressmakers grid paper (like a thin felt) and use that paper to trace out the pattern pieces and sewing symbols with a pen/marker or good HB pencil.
