Information on downloading burda sewing patterns

• Before you print out the entire pattern after downloading it, open the pdf-file on your computer.
• There is a test square. Use this square to check if your printer will print the pattern the right size and without distortion.
• Print this page first. Use a ruler to determine if the side length of the test square actually measures 10 cm (4 inches).
• If the side length of the test square does not measure 10 cm (4 inches) exactly, check the following settings on your printer:
  
  
  • The page scale must be set at 100%.
  • If necessary, deactivate the function which automatically fits the page to the size of the paper or the area to be printed.
  • If you are working with a Mac OS X, you may be informed that the page is too large for the area to be printed. Then choose between reducing or cutting to keep the scale at 100%.
    
    
• Once the test square has been printed out correctly, you can print the entire pattern. Print out page with test square again to be sure your printer prints all the pages correctly.
