Tea time
You'll feel like you've ridden a magic carpet to Arabia when you drink your tea from these enchanting cups! But you don't have to travel that far – you can stay at home and use porcelain paint to embellish your own beautiful cups.
Curtain up....
Veil your windows with enticing curtains! Use stencils and metallic paint to embellish sheer curtains with oriental motifs. Then add small gems as sparkling hightlights.
Bedtime stories
Lay down and dream of “Arabian Nights” .... To create your own oriental-style bed, saw ornamental zigzag patterns in 30 cm (12 inch) wide plywood boards, paint with turquoise acrylic paint, and attach to your bed frame.

The enchanting quilt is beautiful from both sides – and quick and easy to make. Stitch together two different oriental-print fabrics, with Dacron batting in between, turn right side out, and quilt.
Oriental ottoman
Exotic world, at home – colorful ottomans are typical for oriental living! This model, from British designer Amy Butler, is filled with Styrofoam granules, making it light and very comfortable. It can also be used as a side-table to hold tea trays, oriental-style.
Oriental ornament
Maybe Sindbad saw ornaments just like this on one of his journeys. Creative people can easily make their own opulent tassels from metal relief foil!
Shining examples
Oriental lanterns, like those found in the bazaar in Marrakesh … to make yourself! All you need is metal relief foil, plain drinking glasses, and sparkling “gems”... and a little patience, of course. Abracadabra and there they are!
